This is the place where all users can vote for what the featured article will be for the coming month. However, if nobody votes for a featured article then the featured article for the current month will also be the featured article for the coming month. Please read the eligibility criteria for featured articles first and then if the article meets that then you may file a request. The request with the most votes in favour of it will become the featured article for the coming month.

Eligibility criteriaEdit

• The article must be thorough in all aspects, be easy to read and be almost entirely or entirely devoid of spelling mistakes. In addition, it must follow the manual of style in all aspects.
• The same article cannot be promoted to featured article status twice; to see a list of articles which have already been promoted at one point, click here.
• At least 25 edits must have been made to that article (15 for fully protected articles).
• At least 5 editors must have contributed to that article (3 for fully protected articles).
• You must contribute to the article you wish to promote at least once (doesn't apply to fully protected articles).
