Crash Bandicoot Wrath of Cortex Body Slam

Crash's body slam

The Body Slam, or Belly Flop , is one of Crash's moves. To perform it, you must jump and press the duck button (Circle in PlayStation games) while in the air. Crash will slam down and crush anything beneath him. It was first used in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back.

The Body Slam can destroy Locked Crates (although the Super Charged Body Slam is needed to do this in Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped). Other than that, it doesn't have much uses. It can also be used to gain height although it is unneeded when the player gains the Double Jump.

The Belly Flop's Power-Up is the Super Charged Body Slam. It increases the radius of the Belly Flop by 2 or 3 crates.

In Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, it is obtained after defeating the first boss, Tiny Tiger. In the Wrath of Cortex, it appears as a secret power-up, obtainable in Banzai Bonsai's red gem path.

Crash uses the Body Slam in Dansu! De Jump! Na Daibouken! to try to impress Aku Aku and to 'clean' Ripper Roo's books. Instead of referring to it as the 'Body Slam' Crash calls it the 'Body Press'.

  • The Body Slam move is similar to the Ground Pound (or Hip Drop) move in the Super Mario series, as both moves won't stop until contact with ground, otherwise falling into a pit and lose a life.
