Coral Canyon (しんかいの なぞ lit. Deep Sea Mystery in Japanese) is the nineteenth level and is the fourth level of the fourth warp room of Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex. It is also the last underwater-themed level in the game. Like the other such levels in the game, there are a lot of sea creatures that are in Crash's way. He dives around and can also use the submarine during this level.
The PS2 version has the submarine section dark and the player must use the sub's light to see.
Coral can also appear on beaches, though there is none seen in this stage.
This level is the reverse of Sea Shell Shenanigans. Crash uses the submarine and then dives, but in Sea Shell Shenanigans, Crash dives and then uses the submarine.
This is often referred to as the hardest level of the game, due to the Submarine's poor hitbox, and abundance of mines.
This is the only underwater-themed level in the series where the exit portal is lenient to the right side of the stage. All other levels end up backtracking to the left.
