In Cortex Chaos, the cancelled game, Cortex clones appear in concept art. It is still unknown if they will appear if the game is made. The Cortex clones would have been created by Cortex for some unknown reason. Very

similar to the popular 2001 Nintendo Pikmin game, Cortex would direct the clones, and would order them to pick up and throw bombs, collect items, or line up a create a bridge. In the concept art picture in which they are seen, they can be seen coming out of a strange-looking fish's mouth.
