Goats are common enemies that are found in the Medieval themed levels: Toad Village, Gee Wiz and Double Header in Crash Bandicoot: Warped and the N. Sane Trilogy remake of the third game. They pace back and forth across the main path that Crash travels, and will attack Crash if they run into him, or he runs into them while they are facing him.

If Crash runs into a goat while wearing an Aku Aku mask, the goat will vanish and Crash will lose his mask (unless he has Aku Aku invincibility). However, if Crash runs into the goat without a mask, the goat will headbutt Crash off the screen with its horns. Crash can defeat the goat by either jumping, spinning or sliding it away when it gets close to him.

Goats are later shown in Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage as trading cards and enemies in Dragon Castles. In this game, they lack the "N" imprinted on their cape.

While they are given a cartoon-like appearance with an angry expression in the original version, they are given a more generic look in the remake, within chewing constantly, however, they maintain their purple cape with a yellow "N".
