The Nintendo DS is a handheld console that was released in 2004. It only had one exclusive Crash game, Crash Boom Bang! Its remodels are the DS Lite (which came out in 2006 and 2007), DSi (which came out in 2008 and 2009 (2010 in Korea)) and DSi XL (which came out in 2009 and 2010). Its successor is the 3DS family (3DS, 3DS XL, 2DS, New 3DS and New 3DS XL), and its predecessor is the GBA. The original DS and the DS Lite are able to play GBA games via backwards compatibility and a GBA Game Pak slot, although the later models do not have this feature. All 3DS family consoles are able to play DS games via backwards compatibility.
