Crash Bandicoot Orange Gem
The orange gem also referred as the Tourmaline is one of the six colored gems in Crash Bandicoot and the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy remaster of the first game.

Along with the other colored gems, this gem is very powerful and opens up secret areas. The gem can be obtained by breaking all the boxes and not losing a life in Generator Room. It opens up two orange gem paths in Upstream. It was cut from all future games for unknown reasons, making it the only colored gem to suffer such a fate.

  • The Orange gem strangely appears in the alternate ending of the second game, in the N. Sane Trilogy, being loaded into N. Brio's laser installation along with the other colored gems. This is odd because Crash never collects the Orange Gem in the second game in the N. Sane Trilogy.
    • It might be possible that N. Brio obtained the Orange Gem before the events of the game however.
    • It has been confirmed that it was a mistake during the ExtraLife Charity fundraiser.
  • In the Crash Bandicoot 2 extra items glitch, the final gem slot (363) is a spare color gem slot. It comes up as a clear gem. This may be the fate of the Orange gem shown above.
