The Orca is an enemy that appears in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and the N. Sane Trilogy remake of the second game. They appear in the Polar levels of the game as an enemy that Crash must avoid. They appear in the pools of water that Polar and Crash must jump across in the level. They will constantly jump out of the water, and then dive back into it. While in the air, Crash and Polar must avoid the Orca or else they (or more likely Crash) become killer whale lunch.
When jumping out of the water, the Orca like to jump in patterns. They like to alternate between the direction they jump in the water. This requires Polar to judge and time his jumps when passing the pit full of water. It is preferred to jump in the opposite direction of the orca as jumping towards it will cause Polar to, most likely, run into it, and have Crash's ghostly angel carry Polar towards the heavens.
A much smaller orca is seen in the Crash Bash minigame, Splash Dash. If the player has selected Tiny Tiger or Koala Kong, they will be seen riding on the Orca in said minigame.
