Sierra Entertainment was an American video game company that was responsible for all games from Crash Nitro Kart. However, earlier copies of Crash Nitro Kart still hold the Universal Interactive name on it. This was because Vivendi Universal (now defunct, at the time known as Universal Interactive) purchased Sierra and decided to transfer the Crash Bandicoot rights directly to Sierra. On November 21, 2008, after porting Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon to European markets, the company ceased operations.
