Snakes in the Crash Bandicoot universe come in two different varieties: the blue cobras from (Crash Bandicoot and Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced and the brown cobras from Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped).

Crash Bandicoot

The blue cobras slither out of holes in the underground temple levels, Temple Ruins and Jaws of Darkness. They behave like the Venus Fly Traps. When Crash is close enough, the snake will lunge out at Crash bearing fangs, which will kill Crash on impact. The cobras can be jumped on or spin away. Only one will emerge from a single hole in a level.

Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped

In Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, cobras are found in three of the four Ancient Egyptian levels (Tomb Time, Sphynxinator, and Bug Lite). They will slither from one side of the path to the other, blocking Crash’s way. They are brown, similar to the actual real-world cobra. They can be defeated by belly flopping, spinning, shooting them with Crash's Fruit Bazooka after defeat Doctor N. Gin, or by being jumped on, or slide dash.

Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced

The cobras in Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced seem to be a combination of both the original and Warped variety of cobra. They are blue cobras that emerge from baskets, similar to how the original blue cobra would emerge from the holes in the ground. The snake then will lunge and bite at Crash like the original variety. This snake, however, will only appear in the Egyptian levels, similar to the Warped variety of snake. These cobras can be defeated by either spinning, being jumped on, or body slamming or slide dash.  They are found in three of the five Ancient Egyptian levels (Pharaoh's Funhouse, Hoppin' Coffins, and Slip-N-Slidin' Sphinx).

Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage

Cobras from Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced appear as trading cards in the game.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Cobras are set to reappear in the remastered versions of Crash Bandicoot, and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped.
