Spiked Pillars are a common hazard in Crash Bandicoot and the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy remaster of the first game. They come in two forms: moving and stationary. They tend to appear in rows or clusters.

Moving Spiked Pillars

First appearing in The Great Gate, these pillars tremble, then lunge themselves into Crash's path on and off. They reappear in Native Fortress, serving the same purpose, yet more in quantity. They are often coupled with flaming platforms.

Stationary Spiked Pillars

These appear in the levels Hog Wild and Whole Hog and can appear as an obstacle vertically to where Crash must move to the opposite side, or horizontally to where he must jump.
