Hi, my name's elijah and I'm a Crash Bandicoot maniac :) (all games from 1996-2004 anyways)
I don't like to brag. but I like to think of myself as a bit of an expert on the games. I have completed Crash Bandicoot 1, 2, 3, CTR, WoC, Twinsanity and Nitro Kart all 100% (or 105% or whatever) multiple times. I never owned Crash Bash, but I have always wanted to - I have had the pleasure of knowing a friend who owned it though.
My favourite game is the first one, closely followed by the second, then the third. My favourite racing game is Team Racing, then Nitro Kart. I dislike the games released after Twinsanity, namely the games by Radical Entertainment, due to the over-childish nature of the games and the character designs I think were altered too drastically. I believe, as the majority of fans do too, that the worst game of the series was Crash Boom Bang!. Apparently, that was supposed to celebrate ten years since the original was released or something. Couldn't they have released a quality platformer like the original rather than a lame party game that doesn't even compare to Bash?
So I've loved the series from day one, and pretty much anyone who knows of the series will be easy to befriend for me. But there are people, believe it or not, who haven't even heard of Crash Bandicoot! I know, I know. What a crazy world we live in. So I made an account on this site, and basically I promise to write (well edit really, everything writable has already been written really) as many high quality articles as I can. It's safe to say that Bandipedia is smaller and of lower quality than other Wikis like Bulbapedia (I love that too, but that's not my point) and I hope to help make Bandipedia the best of the lot. I looked at the articles for the Red Gem and the Blue Gem and they were very bare, so I changed them to lengthy, highly detailed pieces of work that I was sad enough to put a lot of time into. Click the Red Gem or Blue Gem links to see them if you want - they may have been edited since then to add minor stuff I may have missed, but the fact that they are now long, detailed and of high quality is something that should be credited to me. Now I sound big headed. But you will have guessed that, because I have written a description of me in the same way. Yeahhhhhhhhh.
Away from me & the site and onto the games and my views on them... Well, my all-time favourite character has to be Ripper Roo, as a child I thought he was hilarious because he laughed like a maniac whenever he was blown up which was all too funny for a four-year-old.. Because he had a tommy gun, Pinstripe took second. Third is Dr. N. Gin because of his awesome mechs, but I have taken a dislike to him more recently because his personalty is more insane (And not in a funny way like Ripper) and he looks like a zombified emo ballerina, which isn't a nice design. Others I like are (obviously) Crash Bandicoot, Coco Bandicoot, Doctor Neo Cortex, Doctor Nitrus Brio, Doctor Nefarious Tropy and the mask twins. The only characters I really dislike from the 96-04 games are Crunch and Papu Papu, because I find them to be a bit too bland, although at least Papu provides comic relief due to the patheticness that is his original boss fight.
On Crash Team Racing I've done absoultely everything possible. Literally. All Platinum Relics, all Oxide times beaten, you name it. I can also safely say that no, you cannot play as Nitros Oxide, as some still insist he is playable. On the game, I tend to use Pura or Polar, as I can get a high enough speed using power slide turbos so I don't need a fast character. I am useless with the likes of Tiny & Dingodile. If not Polar & Pura, I use Coco or N. Gin because a high acceleration cancels out the need for top speed really. My best track is Hot Air Skyway, and I also like N. Gin Labs, Polar Pass, Coco Park (mainly because I am in love with the tracks theme song, hahaha) and Sewer Speedway.
I might do video walkthroughs of the games on Youtube, even though it's already been done several times, because I want something to do that involves Crash, and I've played through them all on my own several times. Perhaps I want to show off my amazing skills. Or maybe I just have nothing better to do. Either way, the idea interests me (I don't have a camera though lol)
I have no idea why I have put loads of detail into something that no-one will read, but yeah, thanks if you did read this. And remember, for editors of this site, if it ain't broke, fix it anyway because it ain't gonna be p
