World Crates are a type of crate that act as save points and are only in Crash Twinsanity. They act similarly to checkpoint crates and are yellow with a picture of Earth on them.
They are usually only found at the start of a new level, but also before some boss fights and partway during a level.
They save where Crash will spawn after the game is saved and loaded, or a game over. Like checkpoint crates in the game, they break open automatically when Crash gets close to them.

Crash Twinsanity[]
- Manual
"Triggered by proximity, these crates represent saving points. If you have auto-save on, the game will automatically save your progress when you trigger a World Crates.[sic] You can also manually save your progress through the Pause menu after hitting these crates. If you run out of lives or load a saved game, you can continue at the previously triggered World Crates."
- Prima strategy guide
"World crates are save points. If you have enabled auto-save, your game is automatically saved when you reach one of these. Whenever you manually save the game, your save point is the last world crate you passed— not the last checkpoint crate. If you run out of lives and are forced to continue, you reappear at the last world crate you passed. There's no need to touch world crates; they're automatically triggered as you pass them."
